born in 1962, is considered one of the grand seigneurs of Italian cuisine. His career is as unparalleled as the number of awards he has received. His path to becoming a celebrated Michelin-starred chef was not initially so preordained; before opening his first restaurant, he enrolled at university to pursue a law degree. However, in 1995, he opened Osteria Francescana in Modena, where he cooked his way to one star after another. Osteria Francescana was ranked first on The World’s 50 Best Restaurant list twice, in 2016 and 2018.
