Donnafugata a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9e en Sicile par une famille qui a su innover dans le style et la perception du vin sicilien \u00e0 travers le monde. Giacomo Rallo, quatri\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration d’une famille forte de plus de 170 ans d’exp\u00e9rience dans le vin de qualit\u00e9, a fond\u00e9 Donnafugata en 1983 avec son \u00e9pouse Gabriella.<\/p>\n

Aujourd’hui, leurs enfants Jos\u00e9 et Antonio dirigent l’entreprise et une \u00e9quipe focalise sur l’excellence. La Sicile est un continent viticole et Donnafugata incarne cette diversit\u00e9 en cultivant ses vignobles dans des contextes tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents.<\/p>\n

Le domaine s’appuie sur une cave familiale historique \u00e0 Marsala et sur quatre domaines avec vignobles et caves de vinification: \u00e0 l’ouest de la Sicile, \u00e0 Contessa Entellina, Donnafugata poss\u00e8de 330 hectares de vignes avec 19 c\u00e9pages diff\u00e9rents; sur l’\u00eele volcanique de Pantelleria, Donnafugata poss\u00e8de 56 hectares de Zibibbo cultiv\u00e9s en gobelets, appel\u00e9s \u00ab alberello pantesco \u00bb (patrimoine culturel immat\u00e9riel de l’Unesco). \u00c0 l’est de la Sicile, sur le versant nord de l’Etna, Donnafugata poss\u00e8de 33 hectares de vignes avec des c\u00e9pages autochtones tels que le Carricante et le Nerello Mascalese ; sur le territoire de la DOC Vittoria, le domaine viticole de derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration est entour\u00e9 de 33 hectares de Nero d’Avola et de Frappato.<\/p>\n

Le d\u00e9veloppement durable fait partie int\u00e9grante de l’ADN de Donnafugata : des bonnes pratiques sur le terrain \u00e0 la biodiversit\u00e9, des \u00e9conomies d’\u00e9nergie \u00e0 la production d’\u00e9nergie propre et \u00e0 la protection des paysages. En 2021, Donnafugata a rejoint SOStain, le programme de d\u00e9veloppement durable pour la viticulture sicilienne, conform\u00e9ment aux objectifs de l’Agenda 2030 des Nations Unies. Donnafugata incarne l’excellence artisanale et cr\u00e9ative du Made in Italy. C’est une cave en perp\u00e9tuelle qu\u00eate d’innovation, ax\u00e9e sur les petites productions de valeur issues de terroirs et de vignobles uniques.
