Argentiera – Elegance and Character from the Upper Maremma

Argentiera is located in an exceptional part of the Upper Maremma coastline, in the southernmost area of Castagneto Carducci, at the heart of the Bolgheri DOC appellation.
Founded in 1999 on the historic Donoratico estate, the property today covers 153 hectares, 85 of which are planted with vines. It is the estate closest to the sea – and at the same time, one of the highest in altitude within the denomination. This rare combination of elevation and exposure creates a unique microclimate where intense sunlight, constant breezes, clear skies, and open horizons lend elegance, freshness, and depth to the wines.

The name “Argentiera” recalls the region’s mining past: these hills, known since Etruscan times, were once rich in silver veins and natural springs.

Today, this heritage lives on in a place where the memory of the land is transformed into authentic and characterful wines.
