Château-Figeac, Premier Grand Cru Classé “A” of Saint-Émilion, has been owned by the Manoncourt family for over 130 years. The estate, which includes the 18th century château, 14 hectares of parkland and 40 hectares of vines in a single block, is among the most prestigious in Bordeaux. The reputation of Figeac is based on its exceptional terroir, formed by three gravel knolls which have determined the grape varieties composed of the highest proportion of Cabernet on the right bank. Château-Figeac thus produces very fine, elegant and harmonious wines with a unique character. Thierry Manoncourt, owner and winemaker from 1947 to 2010, created the unique Figeac style that we still find in the wines today. The completion of new, state-of-the-art winemaking facilities, as well as the renovation of the historical buildings in 2022 is the concretization of Figeac’s vision of the future: continuing a never-ending pursuit of excellence through tradition and modernity.
