Joseph Drouhin
Beyond the iconic Musigny, the legendary “Marquis de Laguiche” Montrachet, and the symbolic “Clos des Mouches”, the Joseph Drouhin family story has been driven by passion and inspired by dreams for over 140 years.
It is an enduring love for Burgundy that led, back in 1880, to the creation of an exceptional estate stretching from north to south—across Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, and Côte Chalonnaise—cultivated organically for more than 30 years. Over two-thirds of the vineyards are classified as Premier Cru or Grand Cru. A spirit of pioneering and adventure took Maison Joseph Drouhin even further in 1987, when this same passion reached Oregon in the United States—to reveal a lesser-known side of the two great Burgundian grape varieties: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Listening to nature and respecting it: from deep conviction, Joseph Drouhin embraced sustainable, nature-friendly viticulture, preserving the true essence of winemaking tradition—allowing nature to speak. With rare dedication, the house has always sought to express, in every wine, the purest reflection of both terroir and vintage.
