The Antinori family has been committed to the art of winemaking since 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. All throughout its history, the Antinori family has always managed the business directly, making innovative and bold decisions while upholding the utmost respect for traditions and the environment.
The Antinori family’s heritage is closely connected to two of the most renowned territories ofexcellence for the production of high quality wines: Chianti Classico and Bolgheri, both located in the beautiful Tuscany region in Central Italy.
The family’s longstanding relationship with Chianti Classico has lasted for over 600 years and today the region is home to several Antinori family estates. The different terroirs of this wine region, located between Florence and Siena, enhance the unique characteristics of each single estate, giving the wine an unmistakable identity.
Moving Southwest on the Upper Tuscan Coast, Tenuta Guado al Tasso estate is found, located in the prestigious Bolgheri DOC appellation and enclosed between the gentle hills of the Bolgheri amphitheatre and the sea. Wines produced at Tenuta Guado al Tasso estate are the expression of this outstanding terroir that lends elegance, depth and complexity; a unique territory which is able to produce wines of great character.
As a matter of fact, Marchesi Antinori’s production philosophy has always been focused on the recognition and development of each single terroir’s full potential.
