Pellegrino
Pellegrino, a historic Sicilian winery founded in 1880, is among the Italian leading producers of white and red wines, as well as wines from Pantelleria and Marsala. From the beginning, the Pellegrino family has personally overseen vineyard and winery operations, and still today—in its sixth generation—is actively involved in the daily company’s management.
Thanks to diversified cultivation areas, three different cellars in province of Trapani —Marsala, Cardilla, and Pantelleria— five Family Estates, and a team of specialized oenologists, Pellegrino now offers a wide range of high-quality Sicilian wines.
The Pellegrino vineyards are located in the westernmost part of Sicily, the island’s most vocated area for viticulture and the cradle of native Sicilian grape varieties such as Grillo, Inzolia, Catarratto, Zibibbo, Nero d’Avola, Perricone, and Frappato, which have always been used here to produce wines of great character.
With over 140 years of history, the Pellegrino family has written some of the most significant chapters in Sicilian winemaking and today stands as one of the island’s most representative wine producers.
