Passionate winemakers since 1919
The Andreas Männle winery is located in Durbach, in the heart of the Ortenau winegrowing district and directly on the Baden Wine Trail. First mentioned in official documents in 1561, the estate has been in the possession of the Männle family for over a century now. The family business is currently in the hands of the fourth-generation owners, Thomas Männle (a viticultural technician) and his wife Maria Männle. This young pair are enhancing old traditions with a modern touch, and have already played a leading role in the construction of the new Vinothek, regarded as one of the most attractive in Germany.
Thomas’s philosophy of self-reliance, tradition and consistency has repeatedly won him the coveted award of “Best Cellarmaster in Baden”. Deep technical expertise combined with a love of wine and nature enable Thomas and his team to harvest full-bodied red Burgundies and spirited white wines from their estate-owned DURBACHER BIENENGARTEN vineyard year on year.
We are passionate about winemaking. What began as a dream on the part of our founder has turned into an aspiration that permeates every bottle we produce: a no-nonsense ambition to be satisfied only with the very best, a belief that true quality can only be achieved through tireless efforts and teamwork, and a firm conviction in the unmistakable character of our wines. This is our approach to making wine.
