REPORTAGE CLOS BEAUREGARD - VIGNES + BÂTIMENT

Most wineries in the Bordeaux appellation of Pomerol are small to very small estates. Clos Beauregard is one such winery. Its vineyards are planted with 93% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 3% Cabernet Franc, covering just six hectares of sandy clay soils located below the much more renowned Château Beauregard. The vines in this single vineyard are over forty years old, and the dedicated team, led by the renowned oenologist Michel Rolland, consistently strives to coax better results from the soils year after year.

Since the 2011 vintage, Clos Beauregard has focused on reducing yields, embracing sustainable practices, and improving wine quality.
