History
Founded in 1857 by brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani in Quinto di Valpantena, near Verona, Bertani is one of the most historic and respected wine brands in Italy. The brothers combined their passion for the Veronese territory with the technical knowledge acquired in France, creating wines of the highest quality.
From the very beginning, Bertani stood out for its focus on quality and innovation. As early as 1860, Bertani wines were being exported abroad, quickly gaining an international reputation. In the 1930s, Bertani received the prestigious quality certification from the King of Italy, becoming the official supplier to the Royal House.
Family
Today, Bertani continues to be a benchmark in the Italian wine sector, with production that respects tradition while embracing sustainable practices and modern winemaking techniques. The winery and its vineyards, located in the heart of Valpolicella, remain a symbol of excellence and passion for wine.
Wines
Bertani is renowned for its Amarone della Valpolicella Classico, a full-bodied and complex red wine produced with dried grapes. The Valpolicella Ripasso combines Valpolicella with the pomace from Amarone, resulting in a fruity and spicy wine. The Secco-Bertani Original Vintage Edition merges tradition and innovation, inspired by the early Valpolicella wines with a blend of Corvina, Sangiovese, Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, offering elegant notes of fruit and spices.
