Beppe di Caviola, the producer named "Winemaker of the Year" by Gambero Rosso in 2002, made a modest start to his winemaking career in 1991 with a rented vineyard. Elio Altare, already an established star of the Barolo world, encouraged Beppe to produce 860 bottles of his first wine. This is how the foundations for the Ca’viola winery were laid. Now married to Simonetta, Beppe’s career has taken him from Montelupo to Dogliani and then on to Barolo. The stations of his career are portrayed in the impressive illustrations on the wine labels.
