Weingarten Eden

Weingarten Eden is considered an El Dorado for lovers of Californian wines. We have been exclusively importing a number of renowned wineries from the sunshine state for over 25 years. These include heavyweights such as Caymus, Duckhorn, Ramey, Rochioli, DAOU and Austin Hope. The family-run Hahn winery is also part of the portfolio.

Nicky and Gaby “Hahn” came to Monterey County in California in the mid-1970s. The Swiss couple with a passion for wine quickly realized that this mountainous region offered all the prerequisites for growing first-class grapes: alluvial soils, plenty of sunshine for the development of lush fruit and enough fog and wind to keep the acidity in perfect harmony. The first wine was launched in 1980.

Each of the now six vineyards in Monterey County is certified as sustainable under the Sustainability in Practice (SIP) program.

The “Boneshaker” from the Hahn portfolio comes from the Lodi region, which is known for its warm growing season and sandy soils. A robust, powerful Zinfandel. The Mettler family, fourth generation winemakers, sustainably cultivate these gnarled 60-year-old vines, producing small berries with intense sugar, color and a high concentration of powerful fruit flavor.

For more than two decades, “Canyon Oaks” has been producing typical Californian varietal wines from the best growing areas. The name is derived from the main vineyards with majestic oak trees.
