Weingut Josef Fritz is a traditional winery with a modern approach to winemaking. We are passionate about our top-quality products, combining tried-and-tested methods with new approaches. The winery has been member of the Austrian winegrowers’ association “Traditionsweingüter Österreich” since 2020. Our wines strike a balance between the individuality of the Wagram region and modern, international tastes, respecting both innovation and a traditional affinity to nature. In addition to our ranking as one of the best wineries in Austria, numerous accolades at home and abroad testify to the quality of our wines.

We stand for superb Roter Veltliner! The vines grow in our historic Wagram vineyards on loess, sandstone and tertiary gravel. Not striving continually for growth, our family is completely content with 17 hectares of the best vineyards. Content in the sense of being healthily grounded, our greatest achievements are wines that bring enjoyment to our customers during those precious moments in life.

Why we chose Roter Veltliner as our principle grape variety?
