We are idealists, completely crazy about wine, driven by our passion and the clear goal of making the best vintage of our lives every year. It all began in 1983 in a garage in the backyard of an apartment building in the centre of Bruchsal. Our parents, Marietta and Ulrich, started the winery with half a hectare and as complete career changers. In 1990 they moved to the outskirts of Bruchsal and in 2015 the winery was extensively rebuilt and renovated. We, Andreas and Markus, have been at the helm since 2004. After a solid education, studies and various internships in top national and international wineries, we set out to bring one of Germany’s least known wine-growing regions to the forefront of the German wine world with courage, diligence and consistency, but at the same time with infinite potential.

Today we are happy and proud to sell our wines not only to 3000 restaurants such as Grill Royal/Berlin, Bareiss/Baiersbronn or Überfahrt/Tegernsee, 150 of which have one or more Michelin stars, from Garmisch-Patenkirchen to Sylt and in 24 countries, but also to every single wine lover who can taste our passion in the wine. According to the most important wine guides, our winery is now one of the 100 best German wineries and has become an integral part of the wine scene.

We are always curious, always hungry to tighten the fine-tuning wheels each year, to gain a deeper understanding of our vineyards and the development of the wines, and to improve each year as a result. We are not notorious complainers, but we are certainly the harshest critics of our wines. It is in the nature of things to remain humble and down-to-earth, because our greatest adversary is the weather, which puts us in our place and demands everything of us in terms of adaptability. What we can control, we do with a great team, uncompromisingly following our ideal of winemaking. Sustainability is much more than a word to us. It forms the basis of our work in viticulture, which has been organic since 1996 and is now even biodynamic, and secures values beyond our generation.
