For us, wine is not just a product and winemaking is a profession. We claim that being winegrowers and working with wine is a way of life that characterises us and what we do. This begins with the fact that we are allowed to live and work in a region where others go on holiday. It continues with a deep connection to and dependence on nature, which gives us a sense of serenity and humility.

In addition to craftsmanship, this is a basic prerequisite for accompanying great wines on their journey from the vineyard to the bottle. Wine requires time, calm and patience. And above all, wine is always the result of a very individual interplay of soil, climate, vineyards and people. We see it as our task to cultivate this interplay in harmonious cooperation. Be it in the careful and sustainable treatment of our soils, the protection of our climate, the locally adapted grape varieties and fair and respectful interaction with one another. We also want to emphasise individual characteristics, be it single vineyard sites, varieties or ideas, and thus make the enjoyment of our wines exciting and interesting.

We have the privilege of accompanying our wines on their journey every year and only intervening where absolutely necessary in respect of nature.
