Natural growth, healthy development of the grapes and an ideal ripening process are crucial steps on the path to producing the best wine. We follow this path with respect for nature and a firm conviction that we should intervene as little as possible in the natural process. That’s why you won’t find any young wines with primary fruit aromas in our range, wines that ultimately disappoint in taste. Even our Grüner Veltliner, “Der Leichte”, is only bottled after ageing on lees. We give all our wines the time they need to achieve perfect maturity and fullness of taste.

A wine estate with tradition
A 300-year tradition means 300 years spent accumulating experience in winemaking. We have been passing this knowledge on from generation to generation since the 18th century. Nevertheless, we are still looking for ways we can do things even better. This balance between traditional winemaking and the search for new and better methods is an important part of our work in the vineyard and cellar. As a family business, we know how this common philosophy helps us work together to achieve our goals.

Wines with character
We use only the Kremstal valley’s best grapes for our wines. Their power and distinctive characteristics are such there is no place for ostentatious effects or lifestyle trends. Our numerous international awards are the welcome reward for this focus on quality. For you, they are confirmation that you will enjoy high-quality wines with an intense, well-balanced taste.
