Presiding over the kitchen is Farid Fazel (* 23 June 1975).
He discovered his passion for cooking early and began his career at the Jerzner Hof before moving to the 5-star superior Interalpen Hotel-Tyrol. Following three years there as head entremetier and saucier, he went on to join the Best Western Hotel Leipziger Hof in Innsbruck, Austria. After relocating to northern Germany, Farid Fazel successfully tried his hand at something different and managed an exclusive furniture shop on the island of Usedom for five years. He was not quite ready to hang up his apron, however, and returned to cooking in November 2012 at the Kitzbüheler Hütte at the Medici restaurant in Baden-Baden. He was sous chef within the year, before becoming head chef for the German Media Prize where he cooked for the likes of Ban Ki Moon and Barack Obama. Over the last few years, Farid Fazel has been showcasing his culinary skills at various events and trade shows, and in 2018 he published a cook book entitled “#Heimat-Schwarzwald reloaded“ (#Homeland-Black Forest reloaded). He is now plying his trade at Fritz & Felix, combining his expert knowledge of regional Black Forest cuisine with gastronomic influences from all over the world.
