A symbol of Umbrian winemaking excellence, Lungarotti has contributed to writing Italian wine history worldwide. Originating with Giorgio Lungarotti, a pioneer of modern Italian enology who after WW2 transformed the family’s Torgiano farm into a successful winery, the story continues today thanks to the commitment, passion and expertise of three generations of the Lungarotti family. Innovation is a constant here, yet the company always remains true to the unmistakable character of their iconic wines such as Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio-Torgiano Rosso Riserva DOCG, recognized as one of Italy’s top red wines, and Rubesco – Rosso di Torgiano DOC. Lungarotti owns 250 hectares of vineyards overall – between the Torgiano Estate (230 ha, VIVA certification since 2018) and the one in Montefalco (20 ha, organic certification since 2014) – where the viticulture focuses on sustainability and biodiversity. One of the company’s cornerstones is promoting quality wine tourism and highlighting the culture of wine, olive oil through the exploration of their artistic heritage, with the Wine Museum (MUVIT) and the Olive and Oil Museum (MOO), both in Torgiano.
