In 1984, Michele Satta decided to give up life as a farmer and become a wine grower. He planted his first experimental vineyard with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in 1991, choosing two grape varieties that can be grown with great expressiveness and character in the area of Bolgheri. Michele then bought other adjoining vineyards and planted vines which have all come to illustrate the great potential of the area. His wife Lucia was his companion throughout this adventure. In the meantime, Giacomo and Benedetta, two of their six children, have become part of the company. A second generation is now ready to take up the reins!
