Situated in the western corner of Sicily, in a nature reserve bordering the sea, the Tenuta Gorghi Tondi boasts a history that extends back for more than a hundred years. In the year 2000, Michele Sala and his family started creating unique organic wines on their 130 hectares of vineyards and olive trees. Now managed by daughters Annamaria and Clara, the estate in Mazara del Vallo cultivates indigenous grape varieties such as Grillo, Zibibbo, Nero d'Avola, Catarratto, Frappato, Nerello Mascalese and Perricone, in addition to Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. The predominant grape variety is Grillo, grown on almost 40% of the total cultivated area.
