The history of Val di Suga began in 1969, as a farm. The land, situated in the northern area of Montalcino, was initially destined to fodder production. Over the years it was gradually converted to vineyards until Val di Suga began producing wine in 1982.
Val di Suga owns vineyards ( 52 Ha in total) on three separate slopes of the appellation, that have various soil environments as it formed in different geological eras and different climatic micro-environments, influenced by different elevations and by the sea and Apennines, depending on the position.
Three exposures and three different geological situations, give us products that illustrate the three unique characters of Sangiovese, which give rise to three crus: Vigna del Lago Poggio al Granchio Vigna Spuntali and a blend, Brunello di Montalcino, the perfect summary of the different souls of the territory
