Weingut Baer

Weingut Baer, founded in 2021, is dedicated to crafting elegant, dry Rieslings from the steep slate slopes surrounding Bacharach, in the Mittelrhein region of Germany.

The key to our expressive wines lies in the unique slate soils of our outstanding single vineyards:

Bacharacher Posten (a monopole), Bacharacher Wolfshöhle, Steeger St. Jost, and the island vineyard Heyles’en Werth (also a monopole).

These sites, all classified as Grosse Gewächs, produce Rieslings of exceptional balance, marked by vibrant acidity and mineral clarity.

But beyond terroir, our philosophy is deeply rooted in one essential value: time. At Weingut Baer, we allow our wines to mature in peace – they are released no sooner than two years after bottling, giving them time to evolve and become truly approachable.
