Founded by Ewald Kopp in 1996, Weingut Kopp has received multiple awards for producing the Best German Pinot Noir. Now managed by his son Johannes Kopp, this successful winery is the home of characterful wines.

And there are exciting new developments at Johannes Kopp’s winery! Opened in September 2022, a new building has been constructed to house the production facilities and in-house restaurant.

A changeover to biodynamic farming is also underway, and the owner plans to breed Highland cattle.

So it’s good to know that the wine itself isn’t being neglected – quite the opposite: the 2018 Felsenstück Spätburgunder is outstanding, and the basic 2018 Spätburgunder offers a sensational price-performance ratio. Congratulations on the fourth star!
