The culinary skills of Karlheinz Hauser, born in Baden in 1967, have been recognized by gourmet authorities for years. Karlheinz Hauser has received the coveted Five Star Diamond Award, which honors “outstanding achievements in the luxury segment”, for the twentieth time in a row. Karlheinz Hauser acquired his knowledge of top gastronomy, catering and banqueting in the high school of German top restaurateurs. He was decisively influenced by Eckart Witzigmann from 1990 to 1992. After his subsequent time with Gerd Käfer, with whom he organized caterings and banquets all over the world, his path led him to Berlin. As kitchen director and gastronomic manager at the Hotel Adlon, he organized large banquets for national and international celebrities and hosted top-class dinners at Bellevue Palace. In spring 2002, Karlheinz Hauser followed the call to the Elbe metropolis on the Süllberg. Over the past 20 years, he has led Süllberg to unprecedented fame with his comprehensive gastronomy concept and has received numerous national and international awards, including 2 Michelin stars for his gourmet restaurant Seven Seas.
Since the beginning of 2022, Karlheinz Hauser has now entered the Formula 1 business under his umbrella brand Hauser Collection and, together with his son Tom Hauser, organizes international catering for the British racing team McLaren for the team, drivers, sponsors and international VIPs in 24 countries around the world. The culinary variety and the possibilities for menu design are virtually unlimited due to the number of different destinations and give Karlheinz Hauser plenty of scope to play with regional, fresh and exotic products. In addition to catering for the race team, the logistical challenges also play a major role for the team, which sends a total of seven sea freight containers with full catering equipment across the world’s oceans.
Karlheinz Hauser has been a key figure in front of the ZDF TV cameras as a judge on the “Küchenschlacht” for 8 years. For another 10 years, Karlheinz Hauser regularly appeared on the ARD Buffet program and in 2015 as a judge on the popular cooking show “The Taste” on Sat 1. He is a regular guest on talk shows and a protagonist in TV documentaries.
The NDR Nord report “Sternekoch im Weihnachtsstress” reached record ratings in December 2011.
